Building, Running, and Transferring the Accounting Function for a B2B Startup Operating in 10 Cities Across Pakistan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia
A B2B tech startup operating across 10 cities in Pakistan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia needed an accounting function built from the ground up, across three countries with different regulatory standards, at once. We built that function, operated it while the company scaled, and eventually transferred it, a full build-operate-transfer engagement rather than an ongoing retainer.
Along the way, we implemented and ran QuickBooks across all three markets, and handled the company’s first-year statutory audit, clearing it successfully, a meaningful milestone for a startup operating across that many jurisdictions at once.
Outcome: A cross-border accounting function that started from nothing, ran cleanly enough to clear a first-year audit across multiple jurisdictions, and was handed off successfully once the company was ready to bring it in-house.
